The Candidate Academy invites you to attend this two-day course to guide Resident Engineers on pipeline & reticulation projects in their specific functions, roles and responsibilities on site. 

Attend this course and learn about:

  • The duties of the Resident Engineer
  • Dealing with the Client, Engineer, Contractor, Community and other role players
  • Relationships, ethics and responsibilities
  • Quality control and quality assurance
  • Inspections, tests and approval of construction activities
  • Method statements
  • Measurement and payment certificates
  • Supervision and site management, including good record keeping

 

The course is aimed at (but not limited to):

  • Candidate engineers, technologists and technicians whose aim it is to master the necessary skills towards becoming a respected Senior Resident Engineer of excellence on pipeline construction projects 
  • Assistant Resident Engineers, Principal Agents, Employer's Agents representatives, or Project Engineers from Government bodies working on construction projects
  • Resident Engineers, Employer's Agents representatives or Principal Agents with limited experience

CPD

This course is validated for 2 CPD credits with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa).

Please note the following requirements for online courses:

  • Delegates are responsible to ensure that they have sufficient data to cover the full duration of the online course.
  • According to the ECSA requirements for online training, a compulsory online assessment must be completed.
  • The pass mark for the test is 75%.
